So it's been a while since I've been around....anywhere for that matter. But, as seems to be the repeated montra throughout everything I have been very bogged down. And I will remain so for a while longer, though this week seems less hap-hazzard then the previous ones.
So other then the grind, what have I been up to? Well, last Thursday I spent the day with a friend of mine. We walked around the mall and I bought some wonderful lotion I love to bits made of Bee Wax with matching lip balm. Wonderful stuff that smells all minty and fresh! I also found some DVD's, the entire Nightmare on Elm Street collection (individual titles, not the set) were $4.99 each so I got the 4 I was missing and Bug. When I first saw that movie I was very disheartened as I expected much more, but I re-watched it and feel in love with the desperation of the characters, how sad and lonely. Anyways, it's a good movie as long as you don't really go into it thinking it's a true to genre horror movie....it's not! And also about a week or two ago I got the Masters of Horror: Moselium Collection and finally got to start it this weekend. I had only seen the second season up until then, but I completely love the first season! My favorites have to be Dance of the Dead, Incident On and Off a Mountain Road, and Pick Me Up, but they are all wonderful. I definetly intend on arting some!!
Hmmm....and we finally broke down and hired someone to come and clean up our yard. The past two years we've not been able to keep it up, so we've had a large accumulation of pine needles (which anyone familiar with those little bastards know how annoying they are...they get absolutely EVERYWHERE!), and the plants have been needing tending to. It's absolutely amazing how wonderful it looks now! It took the people 2 days and they even got the leaves and such off the roofs. Now within the next couple weeks we have to get the pool back up....again! Last year we got it almost back into shape, then it started raining constantly and the algea took back over again :( So hopefully the winter will help us be rid of it. It's really digusting looking now. Hopefully by spring we will have it completely back and pristine!
And also, I have taken up a new hobby....cake/cookie decorating. It's something I've always wanted to do and am finally going for it. I've just always loved the beautiful cakes and such you see and wanted to know how it's done. So this weekend I pretty much began that and did some cute Halloween cookies. They turned out so pretty!...and did I mention yummy?
Anyways, I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween!!
