First off, Happy (be-lated) New Year and Merry ( very very be-lated) Christmas to my flist!! *huggles* And thank you all for the wonderful gifts etc. that were posted to my site, all very beautiful and just thank you for thinking of me! I had all the proper intentions of giving my own gifts, but alas....no.

Basically, right after I posted my site back up I started on holiday up until today. I am already deeply missing the aimless-ness of vaccation. Anyways, it started wonderfully with my parents buying me a big screen for my room. It ended up being a 40 inch Sony Bravia LCD and I love it! My brother for Christmas also gave me an upconverter DVD player for it, since it's a HD tv, so all my standard DVDs look wonderful! I love the coloring it has, very vibrant and deep. Very Sqqquuuueee-able!

And about a week before Christmas we finally got around to putting our tree up. It's a fake one, but decorated it always looks beautiful. However, this year we had to invest in new 'non-breakable' ornament....in plain terms plastic, though I suppose they feel the blunt word deminishes them or something. Anyways, my cats were very interested in the tree. Flea wanted to eat it and Little Guy wanted to climb it, so glass was completely out of the question. So we got it decorated, and even though they ornaments were less glitzy (?) then I would normally like to have it looked beautiful. And of course the ornaments went rolling across the room, so all in all they were effective and pretty. I do have pictures...but, yeah....I always forget them.

I also got to spend some time with sn old friend. We got to go to the mall and spend some time together. We went to go see the new Alien v. Predator movie, which was pretty good. Not what I had expected as I had heard they were going back to a more 'Alien Quadrilogy' feel, but they didn't. It really wasn't scary at all. Aside from the obvious it wasn't even that sci-fi-ish. Though don't get me wrong. It was action packed with some new twists and new-ish plot line, so I did enjoy it. I'm such an Alien nut anyways, it's always good to see a new addition to the collection. And I tried fon-due for the first time. It was interesting and it was nice to try something new. Have to say the chocolate round was the best. Milk chocolate with a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream stuff in it. Yummy!

And for Christmas got lots of goodies. Season 3-5 of King of the Hill, season 4 of the OC and a load of movies. Which was good because about a day or two after Christmas I got horribly sick. Moving was horrendous, it was like my spine was made of glass and every move made it shard. I couldn't stand, I couldn't sit, and laying down was even next to impossible. It was excutiating. Add to that fever...which was emensly fun because me head and chest were burning up, but everything below was beyond freezing. Add to that a fun head congestion that made me feel drunk and unable to maintain balance. And it lasted about 1 week. Getting over it was utterly miserable.

And now, I am sitting here pining for the vaccation to be on going. I miss it. No work!! No work!! I have zero ambition, zero energy. I just want to be back in bed! *sigh*

Well, moving on, I would like to get a new layout made for BL...just hoping I find the inspiration. I haven't even turned on my computer for about a month! It probably feels very neglected. Anywho, time to get going. I so want a nap. *pouts* ;)

*squeee* I got to go to Fry's last weekend! Which, is pretty much the most awesome store for me due to it's hard to find DVD's. I found lots of great stuff including some titles I've been searching for, for a while now. And even my mom found some great deals especially on the old mystery movie series (?) Charlie Chan. Which is actually pretty good considering it's age.

Which in my bliss, while enjoying my recent aquisitions, I decided it;s time to get BL back up and running. Even if I am not spending every waking minute on it, I still love the site and making art, so hopefully by the end of next week I will have it at least back open.

Other then spending money, working, and plotting I've been enjoying baking. I made a freak load of cookies the night before yesterday and now they are all gone. Gingerbread and Sugar cookies alike. And I still have plans to make more Oatmeal and Dark Chocolate Chip cookies. And this weekend I will end up baking as it's my parents' birthdays. My dad's is actually today and my mom's would be on Sunday, but we usually just mass celebrate! So busy, busy weekend.

Well, must be getting back to work! But, before I leave, just wanted to mention I have updated [info]frakit, so head over and check it out! :)

*creepy music* Hello boys and ghouls, this is a voice you are hearing from the distand past....okay, maybe not so distant. And I suppose this means I am no longer...vanished? Eh, not really.

So, as quite a few of you have noticed, Black Lagoon is sort of on an extended break. Mainly, I don't know what I am going to do with it. So far I have had numerous people expressing their, I don't know if distress is the right word, but concern at it's lengthy holiday. And to those, I am very glad you love the site and want to show your support :) But, at the moment, I am just stuck. I haven't even really looked at Photoshop...well, not exactly true...I am trying to revive my love with icons. Maybe that will spurn something to crave fanart again. However, it has yet to do so. My will and my muse have left me. I hope that I will want to get it back up and running by the Christmas holidays, so cross your fingers!

On that note, some shameless pimping! I have a new community specifically for my icons, and again, hoping it will spark my interest once more. So be sure to head over and check it out!!

Well, that's it for now. Just wanted to let everyone know, I am still lurking and what the situation was of why BL has yet to return. I will hopefully post tomorrow for a proper update of this past week, etc. But until then!

It came with cute little post cards, the complete series, and a bonus disk full of extra goodies. So it's been a while since I've been around....anywhere for that matter. But, as seems to be the repeated montra throughout everything I have been very bogged down. And I will remain so for a while longer, though this week seems less hap-hazzard then the previous ones.

So other then the grind, what have I been up to? Well, last Thursday I spent the day with a friend of mine. We walked around the mall and I bought some wonderful lotion I love to bits made of Bee Wax with matching lip balm. Wonderful stuff that smells all minty and fresh! I also found some DVD's, the entire Nightmare on Elm Street collection (individual titles, not the set) were $4.99 each so I got the 4 I was missing and Bug. When I first saw that movie I was very disheartened as I expected much more, but I re-watched it and feel in love with the desperation of the characters, how sad and lonely. Anyways, it's a good movie as long as you don't really go into it thinking it's a true to genre horror movie....it's not! And also about a week or two ago I got the Masters of Horror: Moselium Collection and finally got to start it this weekend. I had only seen the second season up until then, but I completely love the first season! My favorites have to be Dance of the Dead, Incident On and Off a Mountain Road, and Pick Me Up, but they are all wonderful. I definetly intend on arting some!!

Hmmm....and we finally broke down and hired someone to come and clean up our yard. The past two years we've not been able to keep it up, so we've had a large accumulation of pine needles (which anyone familiar with those little bastards know how annoying they are...they get absolutely EVERYWHERE!), and the plants have been needing tending to. It's absolutely amazing how wonderful it looks now! It took the people 2 days and they even got the leaves and such off the roofs. Now within the next couple weeks we have to get the pool back up....again! Last year we got it almost back into shape, then it started raining constantly and the algea took back over again :( So hopefully the winter will help us be rid of it. It's really digusting looking now. Hopefully by spring we will have it completely back and pristine!

And also, I have taken up a new hobby....cake/cookie decorating. It's something I've always wanted to do and am finally going for it. I've just always loved the beautiful cakes and such you see and wanted to know how it's done. So this weekend I pretty much began that and did some cute Halloween cookies. They turned out so pretty!...and did I mention yummy?

Anyways, I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween!!
