Just joined Good Reads, so anyone who wants to follow what I have or am reading you can check out there to see what I thought about it. So I'm a little over 31,000 words into my manuscript and it still seems like I have so far to go. I still have the vision in my head of how I want the story to progress, which really helps! Now I just have to learn to start taking my own advice. I tend to go through these phases where I read through a few paragraphs and just think to myself 'what the hell am I trying to do? Be a write?...Me? Seriously?'. Then thoughts of what happens next, actually trying to get someone else interested in the story and trying to get it sold. That scares the freaking crap out of me!

Now normally this is the part where I tell someone else going along this same path that they are just being stupid. That their story is good and your hardest critic is yourself. So why is it so hard to take that advice myself? *sigh* I guess being neurotic comes with the territory, but I don't know. The bottom line is I keep opening up Word and I keep trying to write. To progress my story and get it down, no matter what else, I have some place to start making it better. I suppose that's something.

So, why am I writing this if I am working through it? To rant mostly. That and to remind myself to stop being stupid and get to work! That the stupid freaking story, no matter how horrible at times I think it to be or how wonderful at times I know it can be, needs to be written and I have to try.

Well, looks like my book worries are over, for this week at least :p I got a ton of them for my birthday as well as a couple tv series, Castle among them! I love that show. Seriously, Nathan Fillion rules. Plus I got the original 'V' with Mark Singer and it's actually pretty good. Definitely makes me wonder about the new series and how they're going to differentiate the fandom. And also, Star Trek, which was pretty freaking good. I have seen the older ones and they were okay, so I wasn't expecting much. To say I loved it shocks the hell out of me! Plus, KARL URBAN!!! :xd

Okay, so that's Some of my Wishlist...and it's a little disturbing how many are YA, but eh. Whatever. Good story = good story. Plus, I still have some other series I need to finish up. (The Vampire Diaries, Anita Blake, The Dresden Files, the Watch series, and even one more Vicki Nelson Blood book.) Geesh, that's a lot of books!

Okay, so I'm about to finish up the 'House of Night' series by PC + Kristin Cast, which was wonderful by the way, and I need suggestions about what to read next. Anyone have any suggestions?

So, some of you might have found a nice little sign up over at my site that said it was under construction. And yes, I am finally going to sit down and update my code and add all my new art and all the fun little other things that I've been putting off for so long. Why now? you might ask, well, my Muse is currently kicking me in my shins. It refuses to be cooperative and helpful and thus, everything I make I tend to hate. Go figure. So I decided to be productive with my time instead of growling at photoshop.

I do have quite a bit to add, both wallpapers and icons, but I am kinda in the middle of about 10 other things right now, so it has to wait. I will try and be back later tonight with all of that. Until then!
